We have method of preparation standards to reduce cross contamination risk at made-to-order stations. This includes having any major allergen items close to the server so spillage from other containers does not occur, as well as the option for items to be prepared in a separate cooking vessel, and prepared on separate cutting boards if a guest has a food allergy.

We have floating staff members who are partially responsible for cleaning self serve stations and reducing spillage of ingredients and also instructing guests on proper self-service (replacing utensils in the original vessel, etc.)

We have multiple options for pre-ordered meals. We utilize grubhub at more than half our locations for students to order in advance and pick up their item separately. We also have a text-to-chat feature that connects guests with members of the dining team. For students with food allergies, this is often used to order a specialized item (ie gluten free pizza, plain grilled protein, etc.).

We have an allergy friendly station in our main dining hall called Delicious Without. This station is free from ingredients containing the top 9 allergens. It is also cooked in a separate area, help in a separate warmer, and served with dedicated vessels and utensils only meant for this station.
