Any guests are always welcome to ask for an Allergen Expert, who are trained to share ingredient information and labels for any dishes we serve. We also label dishes as Avoiding Gluten, Vegetarian, Vegan, and Halal.

Staff are trained to clean the grill, as well as use clean utensils and clean gloves. For Build Your Own omelets for example, a clean and sanitized pan can be used for allergy orders.
Common allergens are grouped together in self-serve areas, and each dish or ingredient has its own designated utensil. Staff monitor self-serve areas as well.
Students can pre-order meals as needed. Students must first reach out to the Executive Chef to set up an initial meeting, tour the dining facilities, and determine whether pre-ordered custom meals are needed.
We have an Avoiding Gluten station in a dedicated area of the dining facility with its own segregated bread, toaster, and cereal options.
FARECheck Training is completed annually by campus culinarians and supervisors.
Larger catered events (e.g. Welcome Back Picnic), Dining at DePaul aims to engineer menus for inclusivity. Every dish is labeled as well.
The Center for Students with Disabilities works collaboratively with the Department of Housing & Residence Life (a.k.a. DePaul Housing) to provide accommodations to students with documented need. Students should complete the CSD enrollment paperwork and provide documentation that directly connects their disability with the need for accommodated housing. Please note that housing at DePaul is limited. CSD will provide recommended accommodations to DePaul Housing, and then DePaul Housing will make the final housing placement based on availability.
On-Campus Dining Accommodations
-Students who have dietary restrictions due to allergies/disabilities, must submit to the CSD the Disability Information and Verification Form (DIVF). Please contact the CSD to obtain the form.
-Upon receipt and review of the DIVF, the CSD will confirm with Dining Services any need for accommodations.
-Dining Services will work directly with the student to discuss and finalize meal plans.
