Nurses do administer allergy injections to students that are receiving "maintenance dosing" through a plan of care established by their allergy doctor. Winn Med Main Campus in Decorah has an allergist on staff that patients can consult with for food allergy management and allergy testing.

Luther Clinic does have epinephrine in stock as an emergency medication administered by the nurse to a student at the discretion of our provider. Nurses have to have a provider present in the clinic in order to administer allergy injections or epinephrine. Luther Clinic staff do not respond to on campus emergencies. Luther Campus Responders respond to on campus emergencies and notify local EMS or local police or fire response for further assistance during emergencies.
