There is also a Call Ahead Procedure available to students with food allergies, or for other dietary accommodations in the dining center. Students can reach out to the Campus Dietitian, Taylor Nixt at taylor.nixt.2@mnsu.edu for more information about this procedure.
All dining service staff who work at short-order stations are trained upon hiring and monitored for compliance with cross-contact procedures. Procedure signs are also posted at specific stations as a reference for employees. All new and current employees are encouraged to ask mangers, chefs, or the RD if they have any questions on proper procedures.
Students can talk with the employee behind the counter of the self-service stations, or talk with a manager, chef, or supervisor to get items from back up to reduce the risk of cross-contact.
