Simple Servings selections are minimally processed foods that are free from the most common allergens and gluten-containing ingredients. Brandeis Dining Hall includes a Simple Servings station.
Our managers, Executive Chef, supervisors and registered dietitian are trained by AllerTrain U by Sodexo
Our sous chefs, Simple Servings cooks and Simple Servings servers receive in house Allergy training and allergy topics are covered once a week in huddles to ensure staff are aware throughout the semester. Posters are also available to remind staff off allergic reaction symptoms and what to do in case of reaction.
Students that want to learn how to administer epinephrine for their roommate or friends with allergies are able to learn from the health team.
