Rutgers Dining Services has a specialized pre-ordering program in place to help ensure that students with food allergies or specific medical diets have appropriate, safe, and delicious food options.
The first step is to fill out a Medical & Dietary Considerations form (can be found on our website or here: https://food.rutgers.edu/sites/default/files/pdf/med_diet_consideration…).
This form will help us clarify your dietary restrictions and any doctor recommendations. Please follow the directions on the form for completion and submission.
After submitting the form, you will be contacted by one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists to schedule a dietary meeting. During this meeting, the Dietitian will discuss your dietary options in detail and develop an individual nutrition care plan to best meet your needs.
Own training annually, with the addition of ServSafe Allergen online training every 3 years. Chefs, supervisors, and any staff member who will handle individually prepared allergen-free meals are required to have training.
