VerifiedIngredient information is available online through our Food U app.
We have the "Inspired Eats" station that is an all 9-allergen free zone. We log everything that is made and cooked in a separate oven and held in its own hot box's away from other foods. We have an attendee that serves the food to ensure no cross contact from other students. All employees are trained on Allergen lite training at the beginning of each school year.
We have attendees that watch over stations that are self-served. They change out utensils each half hour and take the temperature of food on those stations. We also post signage with any allergens at each station to help identify the food on consumption.
Students that need to pre-order meals will meet with our Chef on campus to set up a menu and pick up time. They can request certain items to be made to order in the back with the supervisor/sous chef on the shift.
We encourage students to share their food allergies with their Resident Assistant and Office of Community Living staff as early as possible. This allows staff to be mindful and proactive in the program planning process, to avoid any severe allergies.
Students may contact Dining Services for specific allergy information or to discuss dining options. Accessibility Services can help to streamline the process and provide additional support.
