Two dining commons provide an allergen station called Delicious Without that avoid the top 9 allergens. We also provide ingredient information at every station within the four dining commons. We utilize an online platform called Dine on Campus that shares ingredient information.
Miami University is a "nut friendly" campus. This means that we do not actively use nuts in our recipes. We also do not purchase commercial products that has a "may contain [nuts]" statement. We do carry sealed nut products in our convenience stores and our "nut friendly" initiatives do not apply to any Starbucks or Panera location.
Ingredient information is available virtually using Dine on Campus, in person on serving lines with digital display and ingredient experts are available to answer questions as needed.
We have a dedicated allergy station called Delicious Without where we avoid the top 9 allergens within this space completely. All food is produced and served within this space.
Guests with food allergies, food intolerances, or other special diets that can not be met at our allergen stations and require special accommodations should consult the dietitians on campus via phone 513-529-3042 or email diningdieitian@miamioh.edu.
We have two dedicated allergen friendly stations that avoid the top 9 allergens and gluten. One at Maplestreet Dining Commons and Western Dining Commons. These stations prepare and serve food separate from other dining service areas.
RA's receive training in being inclusive and get to know their students one-on-one. Disability Office comes to training as well, and covers special diets and programming.
Students should tell their RA about dietary needs and how best to respond if they have an allergic reaction.
